Pierre has more than 25 years of experience in the private equity and banking industry. Prior to Champlain Capital, he was an investment banker with both Lazard and Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, where he arranged mergers and acquisitions and high-yield debt, equity and financing. He also worked at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, a major Canadian financial institution, and for Lancaster Financial Corp., a private investment banking firm in Toronto. In 2004, Pierre founded Champlain Financial Corporation (Canada) Inc., (“CFC”), a merchant bank in Montreal, Canada which enabled Champlain Capital Partners to further its relationship with its Canadian Limited Partners.

Over his career, Pierre participated in the origination and execution of over 40 transactions including exclusive sales, high yield debt financings, management buy-outs and initial public offerings. He received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Université Laval, a Graduate Degree in Management from Université Catholique de Louvain, and an M.B.A. from Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
