Warren D. Feldberg
Partner

Prior to Champlain Capital Partners, Mr. Feldberg had an extensive career in both the retailing and distribution businesses, with a particular focus on leading troubled companies. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Feldberg was President and Chief Executive Officer of US Office Products, a publicly traded, $3.0 billion global roll-up of over 250 companies in the office products distribution and related services sectors. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Feldberg was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Caldor Corporation and from 1991 to 1995 he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Marshalls. From 1987 to 1991 Mr. Feldberg served in various senior executive capacities with Target Stores, then a division of the Dayton Hudson Corporation, and in 1990 was named President of Target Stores. Mr. Feldberg is currently Chairman of Clarity Imaging Technologies and JSI Store Fixtures. He is also a Director of pH Beauty Labs, Inc. (dba Freeman Beauty), the Alex-Lee Companies and on the Board of Advisors of Arrowstream Inc. Mr. Feldberg received his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a BA with Honors from the University of Wisconsin.

Dennis Leary
Partner

Prior to founding Champlain Capital Partners, Mr. Leary was a co-founding partner of Green Mountain Partners which consisted of a $162 million first fund followed by a second $270 million fund. Prior to Green Mountain Partners, in 1993, Mr. Leary joined CIGNA Investment Management's Mezzanine Investment Group, which was a three person team dedicated to investing CIGNA Mezzanine Partners III, LP a $450 million fund, and managing and exiting the portfolios of the prior two CIGNA mezzanine funds. Prior to CIGNA, Mr. Leary worked for Marine Midland Bank in the Corporate Lending Group. As part of his investing activity Mr. Leary has been a board representative at 17 companies. Currently, Mr. Leary is Chairman of Option One Home Medical Equipment, Inc., and serves on the Boards of Bergensons Property Services, Earth Tool Company, Ohio Medical Corporation, pH Beauty Labs, Inc. and JSI Store Fixtures Inc. Mr. Leary received a B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Eric Menke
Partner

Prior to Champlain Capital Partners, Mr. Menke founded Menke Equity Partners, Inc. in 1998, a firm dedicated to sourcing, structuring and financing middle-market buyout transactions. Before forming Menke Equity Partners, Mr. Menke was an officer and board member of MBR Capital Corp., Inc., which was one of the General Partners of MBR Investment Associates, LP, a leveraged buyout fund in which he was responsible for sourcing, structuring and consummating acquisitions on behalf of the partnership. Prior to that, Mr. Menke served with the investment banking firm of Kidder, Peabody & Company. There he was an advisor to senior management of companies regarding ESOP buyouts, and tax-related financing strategies. Mr. Menke is Chairman of the Board of Bergensons Property Services, and serves on the Board of Earth Tool Company. Mr. Menke received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Southern California, and his M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Stephen V. Ardia
Operating Partner

In a business career spanning over 35 years, Stephen V. Ardia, was CEO of Goulds Pumps, a NYSE traded company, from 1985 to 1994 after serving the company in a variety of executive positions for over 20 years. During his tenure as CEO, sales grew from approximately $250 million to $600 million during a period of industry contraction and consolidation. He was named CEO of Environment One in 1995 where sales grew from $11 million in 1994 to approximately $28 million by the end of 1998, and pre-tax profits improved from a loss of $720,000 to $5.3 million in the same time period. During 1998 the company was sold for more than $70 million. Mr. Ardia recently formed an industrial distribution company for environmental products for sale in the Northeast. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Earth Tool Company. Mr. Ardia holds an engineering degree from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and an MBA from Rutgers University.

Douglas Bertsch
Operating Partner

From 1981 to his retirement in 2005, Mr. Bertsch held a variety of merchandising and marketing management positions at Associated Merchandising Corporation, a subsidiary of Target Corporation with shipments of $3.5 billion in 2005. His most recent responsibilities were as Senior Vice President of Merchandising, overseeing all product categories and channels of distribution, including product development, global sourcing and retail marketing and merchandising (both domestically and internationally). From 1978 to 1981 Mr. Bertsch was a Merchandise Manager at Frederick Atkins, Inc. and from 1970 to 1981 he served in a variety of merchandising and operations positions at Bloomingdales in New York City. Mr. Bertsch earned a BA in Political Science and History from Minnesota State University.

Mark VanStekelenburg
Operating Partner

Mr. VanStekelenburg has spent the bulk of his career in the food service business. From 1992-1998 he was chairman, president, and Chief Executive Officer of Rykoff-Sexton/US Foodservice Inc. (NYSE : USF). During his tenure, Rykoff-Sexton/US Foodservice grew from an annual $1.4 billion in sales in 1992 to the second largest broad-line foodservice distributor in the U.S.A. with sales approaching $6 billion in 1998. From 1986 until he joined Rykoff-Sexton/US Foodservice, Mr. VanStekelenburg was president and Chief Executive Officer of G.V.A., the foodservice division of Royal Ahold, N.V., which is one of the largest food retailers and wholesalers in the world. Currently he serves on the Boards of Bergensons Property Services, Option One Home Medical Equipment, Inc. and JSI Store Fixtures Inc. He is also a member of the Advisory Boards of Arrowstream, Inc. and an Honorary Member of the Board of Trustees of the March of Dimes, White Plains, NY.

Frohman Anderson
Advisory Partner

Prior to Champlain Capital Partners, Mr. Anderson was Vice President of Strategic Planning and Technology at Princess House, Inc, a direct-sales consumer products company, where he developed and implemented growth strategies and industry-leading technologies. Prior to Princess House, Mr. Anderson was President of FCA Enterprises where he consulted with several businesses, including raising and investing capital, and sourcing strategic acquisitions. In 1996 Mr. Anderson founded Inergy Online, a pioneer Internet services business, which he sold in 1998. Before this, Mr. Anderson was General Manager of Heart and Home, a direct sales company with manufacturing and national retail distribution. Mr. Anderson also worked for Cookson PLC, an industrial materials holding company, in several capacities and participated with senior management in many aspects of the company's 100+ acquisitions and growth programs. Mr. Anderson received a B.A. in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College.

Claire Porter
Advisory Partner

Prior to founding Champlain Capital Partners, Ms. Porter was a co-founding partner of Green Mountain Partners which was a private capital fund that provided equity and debt capital for transfers of ownership and recapitalizations. Prior to Green Mountain Partners, Ms. Porter worked for CIGNA Investment Management for 11 years. In 1985, Ms. Porter joined CIGNA Investments in the Real Estate Investment Division where she was responsible for a real estate equity portfolio valued in excess of $350 million. In 1990, Ms. Porter moved to CIGNA's Private Securities Department where she underwrote a variety of private placement investments that included mezzanine transactions for CIGNA Mezzanine Partners II, LP. In 1993, Ms. Porter became part of a three person team dedicated to investing CIGNA Mezzanine Partners III, LP, a $450 million fund that invested in both private equity and mezzanine investments. As part of her investing activity, Ms. Porter has been a board representative at seventeen companies. Ms. Porter is a graduate of Wellesley College and a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Pierre Simard
Advisory Partner

Prior to founding Champlain Capital Partners, Mr. Simard worked for five years as an investment banker with Lazard Frères & Co. LLC and, prior to that, for two years at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette Inc. While at Lazard and DLJ, Mr. Simard worked primarily on mergers & acquisitions and debt and equity financings. He participated in the origination and execution of over 30 transactions including, among others, exclusive sales, high yield debt financings, management buy-outs and initial public offerings. Mr. Simard has also worked for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), a major Canadian financial institution and for Lancaster Financial Corp., a private investment banking firm. Mr. Simard received a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Laval University, a Graduate Degree in Management from the Universite Catholique de Louvain, and an M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
